The Nature of Reality
"The Wicked West exists in layers—some visible, some felt, and others only revealed when something goes terribly wrong."
The Mortal World
Most folk live here, believing the frontier to be harsh but ordinary: dust, blood, greed, and progress. Yet beneath that surface lies something fractured. The land remembers violence. Death leaves scars.
The Veil
A thin, unstable boundary between what is and what should not be. In places of tragedy or ritual, the Veil frays. Whispers slip through. Some are born able to feel it; others tear it open by accident.
The Supernatural
Beyond the Veil lie spirits, curses, revenants, and entities shaped by emotion and unresolved will. They reflect humanity’s worst moments as much as its grief. They are not inherently evil, but they are rarely kind.
The Cosmic
Vast, unknowable influences that do not think like mortals. They do not bargain. They do not hate. They simply act, pressing against reality in ways that warp minds and landscapes. Most who encounter the Cosmic do not remain unchanged.
