4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate this platform:

• Google / Firebase: authentication, database (Firestore), and hosting infrastructure
• Stripe: secure subscription billing and payment processing. Stripe handles all payment card data directly. We never store your credit card information on our servers.
• Google Cloud Run: application hosting

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to any other outside parties. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.

5. Cookies

We use authentication session cookies only. These are strictly necessary for login functionality. We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics cookies, or any cookies for marketing purposes.

6. Community Content

When you post in The Saloon community forum, your display name, subscription tier, and post content are visible to other authenticated users. Moderators and administrators can view all community posts for the purpose of enforcing our Code of Conduct. Community posts may be removed by moderators if they violate our policies.

7. Data Retention

Your account data and saved content are retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or request deletion, your personal information and associated data will be removed from our systems within 30 days. Community posts made in The Saloon may be retained in anonymized form after account deletion to preserve thread continuity.

8. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

As a Canadian resident, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent to collection or use of your data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
