What the Public Archives Contain
These archives present the public face of the setting: its eras, regions, institutions, supernatural architecture, notable figures, relics, creatures, and surviving historical record. They are intentionally spoiler-conscious and do not expose every secret, campaign revelation, or Game Marshal-only truth.
When history, rumor, belief, and objective truth disagree, the distinction matters. The Wicked West is a world where knowing something and proving it are rarely the same thing.

What Remains Unknown
Some questions are deliberately unresolved. Contradictory testimony, incomplete records, sealed archives, and missing evidence are part of the setting rather than errors to be explained away.
The Record Is Never the Whole Story
The farther you travel into the Wicked West, the more often history stops behaving like a finished account and starts behaving like evidence.
Read carefully. Institutions lie. Witnesses misunderstand. Records disappear. And some truths were buried for a reason.
